Through learning the basic hand embroidery techniques you will be able to refresh your old clothes instead of throwing them away or sending them to thrift stores and buying new.
This can be your new craft to contribute in the ZERO WASTE movement.
Bring your favorite piece of clothing that you don't wear anymore, either it have a little stain or a little hole or anything you want to cover or refresh with a new decorative texture of hand embroidery. You can bring your own design that you want to embroider, you can improvise with a drawing on spot or you can use some of the designs offered by us.
You can also just bring yourself if you are just into learning the basic embroidery techniques. We will provide you with all the necessary materials and variety of embroidery designs for you to choose.
Embroidery is a meditative technique. Come and have a nice Saturday afternoon. Embrace your creativity. Relеаse all your thoughts, let your brain completely relax and allow your intuition to contribute in every string you take.
This workshop will be taught in English and is designed for all skill levels - from embroidery beginners to seasoned stitchers. No previous knowledge or skills are necessary! Everybody's welcomed.
All materials provided: embroidery hoops, fabrics, needles, transferring paper, embroidery stitches, embroidery designs.

The workshop will be held by Stefanija Pejchinovska, who works behind the label Damaja. She is a self taught embroidery designer, who upcycles fabrics to produce accessories and collaborates with local designers to embroider sustainable clothing, produced in ethical environment.
The workshop will take place in Graumalerei - a studio, a gallery, a shop for art and artefacts, a space for surprises on Reusterstrasse 82, 12053 Berlin, Germany.
